Glass and Glazing

We can offer a variety of glazing options to suits your requirements, starting with the minimum Australian standards and including tempered, single, double or laminate glazing options.

Single Glazed

Relative to all other glazing options, single glazed option with clear glass allows the highest transfer of energy while permitting the highest daylight penetration.

Double Glazed

Double glazed windows are an ideal energy efficient choice with the added benefit of minimising noise. The sealed air gap between the two panes acts as an added layer of insulation. This added thermal resistance reduces the amount of heat escaping in winter and keeps your home at a more comfortable temperature. Double glazing has the reverse effect in summer, preventing unwanted heat from coming into the home. This extra insulation lessens your reliance on artificial heaters and air conditioners and can ultimately reduce your energy costs.

Laminated Glass

Laminated glass is commonly used as a safety glass when security and injury are of concern. It comprises two pieces of glass with an interlayer. The glass is prevented from shattering as it remains stuck to the interlayer creating a ‘spider web’ effect. Laminated glass looks like a single glass pane and is virtually indistinguishable from ordinary glass.

Tempered Glass

Is a special type of safety glass crafted using very high heat and rapid cooling. It is about five times stronger than standard glass and is used in different applications primarily due to its resilience and durability. This type of glass is found its place in most modern homes and buildings.
